Every year, I have a handful of clients who are looking for more than your average engagement session. That's where my Engagement Adventure Session comes in! This is a super-fun, day-long portrait adventure that starts with lunch or brunch and ends after the sun has set. It's a perfect option for couples whose love stories are just too big for your standard engagement session. Whether you met and fell in love in a distant city, or you're simply excited to show off your love to the world- this is always a blast!
Brittany & Marlie chose to have an adventure, and they welcomed me with open arms into their lives in Ripon, Wisconsin. While the rustic barn weddings are all the rage here in the Midwest, the trend isn't the motivating factor for their plans to wed and party in the middle of corn country. You see, these two are genuine farm-family, salt-of-the-earth, Wisconsin-proud people. Farming the land is in their blood. They're having a real farm wedding this September, complete with a family-barn-turned-reception-hall and some pretty awesome (and HUGE!) farm equipment! It's going to be a perfect celebration of their love story.
My second-shooter, Graydon, and I thoroughly enjoyed their hospitality as they showed us around their hometown and brought us to some gorgeous locations around Ripon and on their family property. One of my favorite spots was the Page family "pit," where we shot some unique images with Marlie's grandfather's vintage trucks. They bear the name Marland Page, for whom Marlie was named. Swoon! I love getting a glimpse into cherished family history like that! And so, enjoy... A little peek into the love and lives of soon-to-be Mr. and Mrs. Page!
